Salaam Aamir! Dangal Set To Beat PK To Become The Highest Grossing Indian Film EVER
As expected, Aamir Khan starrer Dangal, which also won the SpotboyE Salaam Best Film 2016, is set to make history
Aamir Khan is making it a habit to come up with films which break records. And he is doing it once again.
With his latest release Dangal (2016), Aamir looks set to trump the box-office record set up by his 2014 release PK.
Dangal won four SpotboyE Salaams for 2016- Best Film, Best Actor (Male), Best Director, Best Singer (Female).(SPOTBOYE SALAAMS: And The Winners Of 2016 Are... Jan 4 2017).
The sports biopic has collected Rs 330.96 crore till now in its run of 16 days and is all set to cross PK’s lifetime collection of Rs 340.8 crore EOD. Considering yesterday's collection of Rs 10 crore plus, the trade is confident that by midnight Dangal will surpass Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial.
Aamir first set a record with Ghajini (2008), which he later broke with 3 Idiots (2009), which stayed on for many years. After Shah Rukh Khan broke the record with Chennai Express (2013), Aamir managed to regain the top spot with Dhoom 3 in the same year. The following year, he bettered it with PK.
